Kankrej Cow

Also referred as Wadhiar, Kankrej Cows are named after Kankrej, located in Gujarat. These breed of dairy animals are capable of producing 10 liter to 12 liter of milk per day. These have half moon shaped well built horns, wide forehead and large drooping ears. Kankrej Cows can endure drought prone environment for their strong immunity power. Moreover, these can resist heat stress and tick fever. Weight of this breed of cows ranges between 800 kg to 1800 kg that denotes about their well built body. These have upturned nose and short face. These are well known for their higher milk production rate.
